NUMBER | SCREENWRITING BEGINNINGS:Sid's Apple is my very first feature spec script.
LENGTH: Feature length
PAGE COUNT: One hundred twenty-six (126) pages
DRAFTS: Four (4) drafts completed
PROBABLE MPA RATING: Rated R
ADT'L DEVELOPMENT: The piece is being restructured / developed into an 8-episode, limited series format. MUSICAL INSPIRATIONS: The 2004 album from Tears for Fears (Everybody Loves a Happy Ending) served as background music for the script's creation.
PROPOSED TAGLINE: "Undead... with things still left undone."
INSPIRATION: Following a vivid zombie dream (which randomly involved Helen Hunt), the script's central idea was born. This dream scenario (minus Helen Hunt) remains in the completed script.
LOGLINE: Sid has returned from the dead, only to face a whole new way of "living" -- dealing with his past, friends and family, while simultaneously making sense of the events unfolding around him, including a growing awareness of his appetite for living flesh.
HEY, SHANNON! In what has become a tradition in many of my scripts (starting right here), I have a character named "Shannon" within the story. In Sid's Apple, "Shannon" is Sid's pushy apartment neighbor.
