  • INSPIRATIONS:  Upon hearing that Queen Elizabeth II had a hand in planning her funeral arrangements, including the design of her hearse -- the concept was born.
  • LOGLINE:  Diagnosed with terminal lung cancer, 75-year old widower and lifelong mechanic Jake Babich believes he can make amends with his estranged son and his dying community by rebuilding a classic hearse... meant to be used at his own funeral.

  • THE GOLDEN SCRIPT COMPETITION FEEDBACK:  "This is a piece that has sleeper potential.  Given the subject matter and the very slight means by which the story unfolds, it is resolutely going to appeal more to indie and arthouse audiences.  However, the elegance of the concept and that strong central protagonist (which could attract a veteran star) could tap into the mainstream in the way that Straight Story did."
